Once you’re given the go-ahead, the next step is treatment planning. A CT scan is painless and over in minutes.
Local anesthesia is provided to numb the area. Our dentist will insert the implant screw into the jaw using a dental drill. Your mouth will need to heal for a couple of months. During this period, the screw will fuse with the bone material as well, establishing a strong foundation for your smile.
During a second visit, we will apply the abutment, a piece that attaches the screw to the dental crown. We’ll ensure the crown satisfies your oral dimensions and colour preferences.
Overall, this process takes several months and two or three appointments to complete.
